Visitors to History Alive: A Journey Through Time can participate in Colonial Dance workshops, Fort Lytton Guided Tours and Historical Discussions.

Witness spectacular battle re-enactments of Crusader Knights, Napoleonic Cavalry, WWI, WWII & Vietnam including Tanks!

Enjoy Viking Cooking demonstrations, the pageantry of the Medieval Tournament plus the unforgettable Fort Lytton Cannon Firings.

Children haven’t been forgotten with daily Costume Competitions, Kid’s Historical Colouring Corner & a wide variety of children’s encampment activities.

These are but a few of the many opportunities visitors have to connect with history each year at History Alive: A Journey Through Time.

Brisbane’s best kept secret, the iconic Fort Lytton National Park, is the perfect backdrop for such a unique event where more than 500 re-enactors and historians portray and display almost 10,000 years of history. In 2016, these passionate hobbyists and volunteers shared their love of history with more than 4,000 visitors from around Queensland and the world.

Come and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and aromas of times gone past at Brisbane’s most unique living history Event, History Alive!
